Affordable housing committee vice chairman Edward J. Curley met with the Falmouth Economic Development and Industrial Corporation to discuss the town’s housing demand study.
RKG Associates provided an update to its 2014 housing demand study, specifically looking at the town’s housing demand forecasts through 2021. Mr. Curley noted some concerns highlighted by the study that the town needs to address.
“Something around the order of 18 percent of income restricted units in town are due to expire in the next three years. Somebody in town has to be on top of it, making sure we don’t go backwards in terms of affordable housing in town,” Mr. Curley said at the EDIC meeting on Tuesday, December 12.
