Falmouth Station Master Plan Study

The Falmouth Economic Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC) is investigating the long-term development potential of the Falmouth Station site located at 59 Depot Avenue, including the vacant land adjacent to the existing Station building and parking lot. In June 2021, a $57,000 grant for this study was provided by MassDevelopment; retaining VHB Consultants and Dream Collaborative to investigate development opportunities and options.

Prior to commencing with the Falmouth Station property development study, the Falmouth EDIC and the consultant team held a community stakeholder meeting on October 20th, 2021 to solicit input from various Town agencies, transportation organizations and the general public. This input was collected and informed the initial round of planning work.

On January 26th, 2022, having invited all of prior meeting attendees and the public to attend, the project team consisting of VHB Consultants and Dream Collarborative presented the results of this preliminary planning work and completed study. The results of the planning work indicate additional study of the development of workforce housing on the site. To view the Powerpoint presentation delivered at this meeting, please click here.

Research of this housing project is an ongoing focus of the EDIC Board. The development of the Falmouth Station property will require much further investigation and planning. Feedback from the local Falmouth community and State agencies and Town departments will be an important component of this planning.
